Hurricane Ian for God’s Purpose
As Hurricane Ian barrels down on Florida’s gulf coast, I’m reminded of what the Lord showed me when Hurricane Harvey hit Texas in 2017. After spending time with the Lord in prayer and intercession for several days regarding the hurricane headed for us, during the storm, I had a vision of an enormous army from Heaven pouring onto our land.

As I listened to the song “What a Beautiful Name” by Hillsong Worship, this is what I glimpsed…
With spiritual eyes, I witnessed a never-ending flow of warriors on horseback coming through the heavy rain and fierce winds. I sensed God used the hurricane for His purpose as a distraction. He didn’t create the storm but directed its path.
After diverting Harvey from Corpus Christi, Latin for the ‘body of Christ,’ our Lord opened the Heavens and released the Kingdom of God right over us. Multitudes of angelic mounts entered our realm through the chaos, slipping past the enemy. They used the storm as cover.
I heard a voice say, “He’s so stupid. He doesn’t even suspect we’re coming in, right above him.”
As the Heavenly cavalry charged, they brought with them God’s Glory and filled the earth. The angelic who came to help, assigned to fight for us, were here to stay.
The glorious stampede sent vibrations through me. Overcome with intense emotion, I sensed the Holy Spirit’s presence. Encircled in a whirlwind of Fatherly love, I couldn’t believe what He revealed. The entire vision painted a portrait of how much He really loves us.
An overwhelming sense of gratefulness for His passionate Fire and Glory, for His Power and Might, filled me. Thankfulness for His Son, Jesus Christ, who paid our ransom and freed us from eternal darkness consumed my soul. As I wept, my heart leaped, knowing God’s unwavering, undying love.
The Rescue
It rained four days, causing immense flooding. As people came into our region from other parts of the country to help flood victims, in the spirit, I witnessed angels guiding and directing them.
As I listened to “Remember” by Passion and “Great are You Lord” by One Sonic Society, I saw angels above the rescuers directing them on what to do. “You buy boats and go help,” “Go there,” “You go here,” “You rescue that person,” “You go and get that person over there.”
God’s army, angelic officers and commanders directed the people. God had His Hand all over the rescue operation. His Heavenly army and ministering angels flooded Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado, Arizona, Kansas, Tennessee, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, everywhere, in our country and overseas, with their presence, directing people, telling them to:
“Raise money.” “Collect donations.” “Pack a trailer.” “Assemble volunteers and go to Texas.” “Your team will cook.” “Your team will hand out water.” “Your team will do this/do that.”
Among the angels sent by God were officers leading an army. That army was “us.” And the angels were in charge, running a well-organized, well-orchestrated machine.
The entire spectacle was supernatural, a miracle. God’s ministering angelic cavalry led flesh and bone, everyday people, filled with the Holy Spirit, to victory. It was awe-inspiring to watch rescuers arrive and know exactly where to go, what to do, and how well hurricane victims handled such dire circumstances.
Did they know they were experiencing the presence of God? I know I did.
God is doing the same for Florida now. The kingdom of God pounds in above the storm, unbeknownst to the enemy. Our Lord has released His angels, who races in, saturating Florida and this country with His Glory. And all while the enemy continues to go about his business.
I encourage others to grab their air buds, close their eyes, and listen to the songs below. God will show you things, too. We all can see and hear. We must ask God to show us. Be consistent and seek His face as you pray for those in Florida.
